‘Skate date night out’ a fundraiser for ‘Ice Stars’

The “Ice Stars” Wallace Figure Skating Club’s Theater on Ice team has been busy preparing for the season.

The Theatre On Ice (TOI) is a form of competitive figure skating and combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theater and dance. The team is coached by Hailey Miller and Emily Horrigan.

The “Ice Stars” will perform in several exhibitions this season including the WFSC Annual Ice Show March 28 and will compete in the 2015 National Theater on Ice competition in June. They need your support to help cover ice time costs and competition fees.

You are invited to a fund raising event, “Skate Date Night Out,” featuring “The Wheelhouse Band” on Friday, Jan. 23, at the Knights of Columbus in Leominster. Enjoy this fun affordable local entertainment opportunity.

Participate in raffles, pasta buffet and happy hour from 6 to 8 p.m.; dance and enjoy the band from 8 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $20 each and is an over 21-plus event. For advanced tickets contact WallaceIceStars@gmail.com or call 978-855-1425. Tickets will also be available at the door.

All proceeds from this event will go to the “Ice Stars” to support the team’s skating expenses.
