AYER — The 14th annual “In a Manager” nativity exhibition at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14, from 1-4 p.m.
The exhibit will be held in the Parish Hall located at 7 Faulkner St., Ayer.
“This year there will be more than 400 Nativity sets representing more than 75 countries,” said Carolyn Smith, event coordinator. “Some of the nativity scenes are family heirlooms and others are folk art nativity sets collected by parishioners and area Massachusetts residents.”
There will be a wide variety of tabletop and miniature nativities, as well as a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments of nativity scenes. According to Smith, “This event is a wonderful opportunity for children and adults to become more familiar and involved with the true meaning of Christmas. This is truly a family event.”
The public is also welcome to display favorite nativity scenes and ornaments by dropping them off at the Parish Hall before noon on Friday, Dec. 12, with pick-up after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14.
Other highlights of the day include a children’s activity table and homemade cookies and cider.
Admission is free.
