The Sister Lydia Longley Madeleine Knights of Columbus Council held its annual Tootsie Roll drive to benefit Massachusetts children with intellectual disabilities and physical handicaps over the weekend of Oct. 4.

Because of your generosity, we were able to contribute more than $1,300 to the Massachusetts State KofC Charity fund. One hundred percent of the funds collected are added to the fund.

Recently, needy children here in the Groton and Pepperell area benefited from this fund.

The Knights would like to thank Paul Palmer and his staff at the Groton Exchange. Paul has been extremely supportive of our efforts by allowing us to collect donations at the Groton Exchange for many years.

The Knights would also like to thank John Joaquim, manager of the Pepperell Donelan’s Supermarket, for allowing use their facility to collect donations.

The Massachusetts State Council Knights of Columbus Charity Fund has been established to assist persons with intellectual disabilities, regardless of age, and children with physical handicaps who have not reached their 20th birthday. There is no restriction as to race, creed, sex or national origin.

If anyone knows of someone who could benefit from the Charity Fund, please contact the Knights at info@grotonkofc.org. All contacts are held in strict confidence.
