GROTON — This year, the Groton Community School will host its 10th annual Community Home Tour on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Doors at the school will open at 9 a.m. In case of inclement weather, the Home Tour will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23.

The Groton Community Home Tour offers an up-close look at some of the most distinctive private homes in the area. Again this year, the Home Tour has something to interest everyone: from a lovingly renovated Victorian, to a picturesque farmhouse, to a custom home newly built using sustainable materials.

Additionally, there will be an instrumental soloist in each house for visitors’ enjoyment.

To celebrate the Groton Community Home Tour’s 10th anniversary, a restored one-room schoolhouse listed in the National Register of Historic Places will be open to guests.

The tour begins at Groton Community School with complimentary coffee and donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts and the Catalano Companies. Various local artisans and merchants will be both at GCS and in the homes providing a unique opportunity for holiday gift shopping.

While at the school, enter to win items and baskets generously donated by local businesses, artists, friends and Groton Community School families. The chance items will be on display and tickets will be on sale at the school the week prior to the home tour. Winners need not be present at the time of the drawing to win.
