PEPPERELL — Before town meeting on Oct. 27, selectmen met to choose a new town administrator.

All three selectmen voted to offer the job to Mark Andrews, the current town administrator in Wenham.

Chairman Michael Green will contact Andrews, said Selectman Stephen Themelis. The board will discuss the appointment at its next meeting on Nov. 3.

Until a contract is signed, the appointment has not been made, said John Moak, retired town administrator.

Two finalists were in the running, Andrews and Michael Bissonnette, the former mayor of Chicopee.
