Wingmasters presents The World of Owls, a live animal show.

This year for our Halloween event, we will host the Wingmasters as they present The World of Owls. Owls are not evil spirits, wise little philosophers or Walt Disney creations. Nor do they wing about carrying messages, despite the way they’re depicted in the Harry Potter books. In fact, owls are probably more misunderstood than any other kind of bird. This program shows how owls use their specialized powers of sight, hearing and flight to survive and thrive. A wealth of fact and folklore about these masters of the dark explains the natural and unnatural history of owls. A variety of live owls provides the focus of the presentation.

Wear a costume and get a treat! No reservations are needed; however seating is limited by the room capacity so please arrive promptly to ensure a seat.

Rory Raven presents Brainstorming: An Act of Mentalism!

Mentalist and Mindbender Rory Raven to perform at the Library.

Minds will be read, spoons are bent, volunteers can test their own “powers,” and, if appropriate, the evening concludes with a re-creation of the kind of manifestation you might have witnessed in a séance chamber over a century ago! This program is more suitable for older teens and adults than for children. Reservations are not required. Please be prompt to ensure a seat.
