Murder mystery, dinner to benefit Fourth of July 2015

PEPPERELL — The newly reconstituted Pepperell Fourth of July Committee is holding its first major fundraiser for Independence Day, 2015.

A Murder Mystery Dinner will be held at Townsend Ridge Country Club, on Saturday, Oct. 25, starting at 6 p.m. A cocktail hour will be followed by a prime rib dinner at Bailey’s on the Green, dinner theater and dancing by Platinum Entertainment Disc Jockey and Event Lighting.

Dinner theater theme: A 1920’s wedding. A northern tavern owner in financial distress becomes involved in bootlegging and gambling, marrying a wealthy Southern Belle who is against bootlegging and gambling. Someone gets murdered at the wedding. An interactive clue game helps the audience figure out the identity of the murderer.

Tickets are $60 per person and $100 per couple. The evening includes raffles, gift baskets and silent auction.
