HARVARD — The Harvard Farmers has announced that tickets are on sale for the Spirits and Seeds Fundraiser to be held on Nov. 1, from 6-9 p.m. in the barn at 28 Pinnacle Road.
All proceeds from the event will support the Harvard Farmers Market, Harvard Seed Library and Music, Art and Seeds, a mission-driven music label that promotes emerging artists, seed preservation and food awareness.
A fun barn party, the Spirits and Seeds fundraiser will feature a rousing medley of farm fresh cocktails created just for this event by Armsby Abbey mixologists, craft beer and wine, tasty food truck treats and live music by Keep It Wild album musicians.
In addition, Spirits and Seeds attendees will receive the Keep it Wild album that features downloadable music, stunning original artwork by independent artists, and unique design construction. Each album includes a handcrafted SeedD — a seeded disc embedded with organic garden seeds to propagate food diversity and preservation.
Tickets are available for $85 per person. To purchase your tickets, visit http://spiritsandseeds.eventbrite.com/.
About Harvard Farmers Market and Harvard Seed Library:
The Harvard Farmers Market is a non-profit 501c3 organization founded 10 years ago in Harvard. We are an outdoor food-based market whose mission is to encourage and support local, small scale farmers, gardeners and local food producers by providing an opportunity to sell produce, food, and farm-related items directly to consumers.
Additionally, we serve as a platform for education and outreach to our local community about the many benefits of locally farmed food. These outreach projects include a community seed library for local seed preservation and education; a Farm to Friend program that donates farmed food to the elderly, women and children in need; a community canning club, high student scholarships, and more.
