The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 4 state election is Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 8 p.m.

This deadline applies to new Groton voters only. Currently registered voters do not have to re-register. You must be 18 years old by election day to vote in this election.

The Nov. 4 state election features races for statewide and federal offices, including Governor , Lt. Gov. and Attorney General. The ballot also has four initiative petition questions, including eliminating gas tax indexing, expanded beverage container deposits and prohibitions on gaming and earned sick time for employees.

Absentee ballots are available; Monday, Nov. 3, at noon is the last day and hour to request an absentee ballot.
