TOWNSEND — Townsend Recreation’s Haunted Trail invites you to enter the CarnEVIL 2 “Midway to Madness,” on Oct. 17 and 18, from 7-9 p.m. on the Townsend Common at the junctions of routes 119 & 13.

General admission is $7 or $5 with a canned good donation for TEO.

Face your FunHouse fears as you meet up with a deranged group of circus freaks, twisted clowns and unhinged carnies in their horrifying version of a carnival.

How scary is it? Can I bring my children?

We welcome everyone; however, we recommend not bringing small children to the event. The Haunted Trail is designed to be frightening, to scare. As a general rule, children under 8 are not advised to attend.

What should I expect?

Expect to come into contact with strobe lights, black lights, loud noises and other unexpected special effects. The performers will not touch you — and we ask that you not touch them. Please expect that some effects may intrude on your personal space or involve some degree of contact.
