PEPPERELL — Saddle up and join us on Sunday, Oct. 19, for a beautiful ride over some of Pepperell’s prettiest trails!
The Trail Committee of the Pepperell Horse Owners Association has been busy clearing and marking trails for its annual Fall Trail Ride. Beginning and ending at Ten Broeck Farm on Prescott Street, riders will have a choice of three distances — 6, 12, or 16 miles.
The trail courses will take participants through public and private trails along the scenic Nissitissit River, old railroad bed, woods, fields and orchards and Pepperell Meadows. The longer rides also make a loop through the trails at Beaver Brook Reservation.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with coffee and breakfast goodies. There is a snack stop at Beaver Brook, and lunch back at Ten Broeck Farm.
The ride is affiliated with New England Horse and Trail, so NEHT members will get mileage credit. PHOA members also get a discount on the entry fee.
