TOWNSEND — The Townsend Fire/EMS Relief Association will host the lawn party at the Townsend Military Band’s Thursday, July 17, concert on the Townsend Common.
Townsend Fire/EMS personnel will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers and sausages as well as cold soda and bottled water. A moonwalk, dunk tank and penny pitch game will be set up for the younger folks.
Venture Crew 30 will be assisting the Fire/EMS personnel at the lawn party.
The Townsend Military band will open its program at 7:30 p.m. Former Hawthorne Brook Middle School band director Ken Arsenault will conduct the band in the playing of “Aire and Toccata for Band” by Erickson during the first portion of the concert. The band concludes its concert at 9:30 p.m. by playing the “Star Spangled Banner.”
