SUMMER CONCERTS AT FRUITLANDS MUSEUM

Concord Band, Thursdays, June 19 through Aug. 7, at 7:15 p.m. Admission is per car: Members $10; nonmembers $15. Bring blanket or chairs. The Harvard Lions Club will be grilling, alcohol is permitted and well-behaved pooches are welcome.

Take a Look Morning: 9 a.m. Applewild School is hosting an Open House for prospective parents of K-8 students and parents interested in year-round, curriculum-based preschool and child care for ages 2.9-5 on the campus in Fitchburg and the new preschool program at Applewild at Devens. The Pepperell 4th of July Fireworks and Parade: Parade steps off at 12:30 p.m. from Town Hall. The evening festivities kickoff at the back field of Nissitissit School around 6 p.m. with DJ Ellen. There will be food, ice cream, dancing, games, prizes and family fun ending with the fireworks at dusk! Don’t miss the area’s most exciting 4th of July parade and gala!

Fourth of July celebration in Ayer (rain date: July 6): Main Street Parade step-off at 3 p.m. from St. Mary’s Church parking area. Bike-decorating contest! Meet at the Rail Trail parking lot by 2 p.m.! Children under six must be accompanied by an adult. Children must wear helmets. Judging at Pirone Park after parade. Trophies awarded. Food and vendor booths, children activities at Pirone Park throughout the day and into the night! Fireworks at dusk!

TUESDAY, JULY 8

New England Amputee Assoc. meeting: Clinton Hospital, 6-8 p.m. This meeting will have a guest speaker that has yet to be announced. There will be discussion and refreshments along with a surprise free raffle open to all amputees and caregivers. Our meetings are open to all amputees, caregivers and healthcare professionals. Thursday band concerts: The Townsend Military band will perform a concert on the Townsend Common Thursdays this summer, starting at 7:30 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m. Before and during the concerts, lawn parties will be held on the common offering food and games, sponsored by local nonprofit groups. All are invited to attend!

SUNDAY, JULY 13

Concert at The Healing Garden: Enjoy a Sunday afternoon of amazing music! The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden will host its next “Concert at the Garden” at 3 p.m. welcoming Bill Harriman, solo guitarist, from Indian Hill Music in Littleton. Harriman will play a variety of musical styles for you to enjoy. The Healing Garden, a nonprofit organization, is located at 145 Bolton Road in Harvard and offers support, educational and therapeutic services to those affected by cancer. Admission is $10 for Garden members, $15 for nonmembers (no pre-sale of tickets). All proceeds benefit the services of the Healing Garden.
