For all children in the Ayer Shirley Regional School District: Come and receive a free brown bag lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays in July and August, until school starts up again.
Where: St. Anthony’s Church in Shirley
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m., beginning on Tuesday, July 1. (Just come to the front entrance of the church, and the brown bags will be distributed there).
What: Brown bags will include peanut butter and jelly (or “fluff”) sandwich and nutritious snacks. An alternative lunch for children with peanut allergies will be available.
Who: This program is hosted by the church communities of Ayer and Shirley (currently St. Anthony’s and Trinity Chapel) for the benefit of the youth of our towns. You do not need to be a member of our church to participate. Feel free to come by with your child, or if your child is in the downtown area and wants to stop by for lunch, he/she is welcome.
For information, please contact lunchforayershirleykids@gmail.com. (You do not need to sign up to receive brown bag lunches. If you have any questions or simply want to let us know that you are coming so that we can get a sense of how many lunches to prepare overall, feel free to drop us a line). Hope to see you there!
Days and distribution location in Ayer to be announced soon.
