The Groton-Dunstable boys battled to a fifth place finish at the Mid Wach B championship meet (49 points). Leading the way for the Crusaders was junior Evan Lexo who won both the 100m dash (10.92) and 200m dash (22.28).
The 100m also saw Nate Danti finish third (11.43) and John Thornburn take fourth (11.96). The sprinters also guided the 4X100m relay to a second place showing (46.94).
The Crusader girls’ pulled in a fourth place performance at the Mid Wach B championship meet (78 points). The mile relay pulled in one of the strongest performances, taking second (4:21.38), while the javelin featured multiple point scorers with Sarah Georges taking second (101-10) and Taylor White placing third (97-05). Nikki Eggimann (400m, 1:03.73), Brianna Considine (800m, 2:32.02), Briana Bozkurt (triple jump, 32-07.25), and Sarah Morenz (discus, 90-01) were other third place performers.
