This year’s Hoe Down will take place on Shirley Center Common from noon to dusk on Saturday June 7, with a rain date of June 8.

Two bands, one dance group and a magician have been signed up. Details regarding other entertainers and sales booths are being worked out.

At www.shirleyhoedown.net, there is a link to a registration form for others who may be interested in having a table. Shirley nonprofit organizations who have had food tables in the past will be given priority, but apply soon.

The next Hoe Down planning meeting will be Wednesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. at the Historical Society Museum. Anyone interested in helping with planning is welcome to attend.
