DEVENS — SpringHill Suites by Marriott, in partnership with ArtsNashoba, is hosting the second annual ArtNight on Tuesday, June 3. Student artists and artisans working in all media are welcome to participate and exhibit at this event.
There is no fee — only effort and enthusiasm! Last fall’s event was a great success and we anticipate this year to be even better, as many more schools will be available to contribute!
This event is part of Marriott’s “Save Art Campaign,” meant to corporately support and encourage school art programs at the community level, and it is SpringHill Suites’ hope to encourage and build the arts in the Nashoba Valley region. All students, schools, academies and/or organizations who teach art are welcome!
How it works
Each participant is allotted an exhibit space in the SpringHill Suites’ lobby and amenity areas, or in the Devens Common Center. Spaces are distributed according to size of exhibit, power requirements and/or an exhibit’s level of fragility, the placement of which determined by ArtsNashoba personnel and hotel staff.
Participants are responsible for the set-up and strike of their respective spaces. This includes personally supplying the free-standing tables, stands and display pieces needed to assemble exhibits. Hanging artwork on hotel walls is not an available option.
Set-ups can be arranged from 9 a.m. on May 30 through 4 p.m. on June 3. An ArtsNashoba representative must be present at set-ups, so appointments must be made to coordinate.
Exhibits will be on display during a formal reception from 6-8 p.m. Displays may be struck immediately following the reception, or can remain in certain areas on display through June 15. (SpringHill Suites is not responsible loss of or damage to any exhibits left unattended.)
Please submit a exhibit reservation form to ArtsNashoba no later than May 20 to reserve your exhibit space.
