TOWNSEND — Gifts of art will be available during a gallery reception for “Personal Treasures,” an invitational exhibit in Townsend’s Meeting Hall Gallery, 16 Dudley Road. The event, to which the public is invited, will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 12 to 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and gift items created by the artists will be on sale.
Participating artists include many of those who have shown their work in the gallery since its opening in October, 2009. They were invited to share works that are their personal favorites, treasures that might not be for sale.
Quilts and photographs, as well as a variety of works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal and fiber are displayed, some of which are available for purchase.
Works by Gallery Committee members Nancy French, Kim King, Carrin Culotta and Alice Struthers are included in the show.
The Townsend Meeting Hall Gallery is part of the library/senior center complex that was Sterilite Corporation’s gift to the town.
