SHIRLEY — On Friday, Nov. 8, the public is invited to the Shirley Historical Society Annual Meeting and Corn Husking Bee at the Center Town Hall.

The evening begins with a potluck supper, so bring your family and friends and a main dish, side dish or dessert to share.

At 7 p.m., society officers will give their reports for the past year and their plans for 2013.

Then everyone will have a chance to participate in this old-time entertainment and can bring home some decorative ears and cornstalks when the job is done.

For information, contact the Shirley Historical Society at 978-425-9328 on Mondays or Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. or mail@shirleyhistory.org.
