TOWNSEND — Townsend Dental Group celebrated its grand-opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its 370 Main St. office in West Townsend.
The practice of Dr. Eileen Brusseau, Dr. Nick Perrotta and Dr. Eric Gheewalla, which opened its doors Sept. 3, offers a wide range of dental services for patients of all ages.
So far, the practice has served more than 200 patients, Perrotta said.
“It’s been going very well. It was initially a lot of work with getting everything ready, but we’ve had a great number of patients coming through,” Perrotta said. “Our staff is great, and very friendly, so we’re excited to build upon that.”
Ten of the practice’s 14 employees celebrated the Oct. 17 ribbon-cutting. In addition to the three owners, the practice employs general dentists Steven Ramos and Joseph Gomez, as well as three hygienists, two assistants and an office manager, a periodontist and an endodontist.
Selectman Colin McNabb attended the ribbon-cutting to wish the business well and express his support.
The opening of a new business, he said, reflects positively on the entire community.
“It shows not only the strength of the individuals opening the business, but of the whole community for wanting to be a part of it. I’m always happy to welcome a new business to Townsend,” McNabb said, before taking a tour of the new offices.
Completely renovated this summer, the offices feature five treatment rooms and are entirely digital and paperless.
Assistant Maura Gilbert said the practice has been picking up steam, with the number of patients growing consistently.
“We don’t really have slow days now. We have new patients coming in every day. People seem really pleased with it so far,” Gilbert said.
She said the wide range of services offered has helped to bring busy patients in for a convenient experience.
“We do it all in-house so that you don’t have to be referred out. We try to make a nice little one-stop location,” Gilbert said.
