SHIRLEY — The 5th annual Recycle Your Reusables Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Ayer/Shirley Middle School, 1 Hospital Road, Shirley.

Free and open to all with a donation of nonperishable foods for Loaves & Fishes.

Here’s a sampling of what you can bring:

* household goods, appliances, furniture

* paper and media for shredding

* bicycles, helmets, supplies

* rigid plastic: kids’ toys, lawn furniture, etc.

* athletic shoes

* books, CDs, DVDs, video games

* usable construction items, paint, tools, hardware

* textiles: clothing, linen, shoes, leather goods

* electronics ($)

* wood pellet/bird seed bags, chip bags, granola bar wrappers

* Styrofoam
