TOWNSEND — In accordance with Massachusetts Special Education legislation, the North Middlesex Regional School District is making every effort to identify special needs children who may be entitled to an evaluation and specialized educational services. The age limits include five-year-olds (kindergarten) through 21-year-olds up to the 22nd birthday.
This effort to identify students applies to students in the towns of Ashby, Pepperell or Townsend. If your agency comes into contact with children from these towns whom you suspect may have educationally handicapping conditions and are not currently being serviced under the auspices of the North Middlesex Regional School District, we would appreciate your notifying or referring the parents and/or individuals to the special education office.
All inquires or referrals should be sent to Linda Rakiey, director of Special Education, at 66 Brookline Road, Townsend, MA 01469. The telephone number is 978-597-3085.
We look forward to working with you on behalf of our students.
