PEPPERELL — To show support of outdoor activity and exercise, the Friends of Pepperell Recreation made a scholarship donation at this week’s Recreation Commission meeting.

On behalf of the Friends, President Sue Boswell made the donation so that a child will be able to attend and enjoy the Summer Playground Program tuition-free. The scholarship is need based, and details are being worked out.

The Friends of Pepperell Recreation are working on their next fundraiser — the 2nd Annual Covered Bridge 5k on Sept. 29, starting at 9 a.m.
