PEPPERELL — Beginning May 20, 2013, the Pepperell Assessors Office will be conducting a data-quality review of its records for approximately 5 percent of the properties in town.
The Massachusetts Department of Revenue requires that the town regularly inventory every property as part of the assessment evaluation process and periodically conduct studies to determine the quality of the town’s data. This process includes an on-site review and description of the interior and exterior of all buildings. The Assessors Office will be focusing on properties that were chosen at random throughout the town. If your property has been randomly selected, you will receive a letter from the Assessors Office.
Inspections will generally occur Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. to noon, or by appointment outside of these hours. More information will be contained in the letter you receive. Your cooperation in assisting the Assessors Office in this process is very much appreciated.
