Could your water supply be privatized? Believe it or not, it’s happening all over the country.

Bolton Local will host a program to highlight the issue on Thursday, May 16, 7 p.m., at the Bolton Public Library. State Sen. Jamie Eldridge, chairman of the state’s Water Infrastructure Finance Commission, will introduce the program.

The main speaker, Sterling resident Maryanne MacLeod, will talk about the fight with Nestlé Corp. for rights to the nearby Wekepeke Aquifer. Following the presentation, a discussion facilitated by Bolton resident Jane Moosbruker will focus on threats to our water supply and what we can do.
