Local tennis stars get set to compete in CMass. singles competition

NORTHBORO– The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association has announced the girls’ and boys’ district tennis tournament seeds. Bromfield’s Drew Banker is seeded third, and Groton-Dunstable’s Ryan Bunis is fourth in the boys’ competition. For the girls, the lone participant from the area is Bromfield’s Casey Magrath. Magrath is the number seven seed out of the eight player field. Algonquin High School in Northboro is the host for this year’s boys’ CMass. District Tourney. Melican Middle School also in Northboro, will host the girls’ singles and doubles competitions. Both tournaments start this Saturday at 9 a.m.
