Well adult clinics
Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Ayer Board of Health, announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held free of charge for the general public:
Friday, May 3, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Carlin’s Restaurant, 48 Main St., Ayer. No appointment is necessary.
Friday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center, 18 Pond St., Ayer. No appointment is necessary.
Friday, May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 at the Town Nurses office, 51 Cambridge St., Ayer, by appointment only.
Drop in for blood sugar, blood pressure, pulse screening and diet teaching.

Family FUN Day
The Ayer Shirley Early Childhood Council is hosting a FREE “Family FUN Day” on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will be hosting this event in the cafeteria of the Page Hilltop Elementary School (115 Washington St., Ayer).
Early childhood activities will be set up by area early childhood educators. We will have a special visit from the New England Aquarium Tide Pool as well as a special presentation by Pumpernickel Puppet Theater.
This event is specifically set up for children from birth to age 6. If you would like more information, feel free to contact the Family Partnership Center at 978-772-8600 ext. 1428.
Lions FUNdraiser
Join the Ayer-Shirley Lions Club FUNdraiser Wine, Dine & Gamble on Saturday, May 11.
The trip will include: round-trip motor coach; refreshments served on way to casino (including beer/wine, cheese and crackers); five hours at Mohegan Sun Resort Casino; buffets; $15 gaming package; free concert at The Wolf Den; discount admission to spa and health club at Mohegan Sun; pizza on ride home; tax and gratuities (driver and staff). A Players Club card is required. If you don’t have one, you can get it upon arrival at the casino.
Cost of the trip is $80 per person. If we sell 50 seats, we will raise more than $1,700.
Departure is from North Middlesex Savings Bank, Ayer, at 1:30 p.m. and return is around 11 p.m.

Historical Society meets
Ayer Historical Society meets the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 1 Main St. The Historical Society is in the foundation process and welcomes new visitors, members and fresh ideas. Please join us in preserving Ayer history and fundraising for the society.
