HARVARD — Bargains in the Belfry, a consignment shop at the Harvard Unitarian Universalist Church, recently announced that it has received some specialty sewing fabric that is now for sale.

The fabric, from Polartec (formerly Malden Mills), is lightweight and stretchy, with some parts offering a two-way stretch. Colors range from pale blue and green to orange, navy blue and black. Lengths range from 2 yards to 6 yards.

The fabric can be used to sew T-shirts or other insulating garments.

Bargains also encourages the public to check out its spring collection of garments. There are plenty of choices, including a wedding gown. The shop is accepting spring and summer clothing on consignment (15-item limit) or as a donation. All items must be clean and in good condition.

Bargains is open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and on the first and third Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
