‘Lincoln’ at Pizza and a Flick
GROTON — “Lincoln,” directed by Steven Spielberg and starring best actor Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis as President Abraham Lincoln, will be shown at Pizza and a Flick at noon on Wednesday, May 8, at the Groton Senior Center. The film traces the relationship between Lincoln and his Cabinet as the 13th Amendement to the Constitution abolishing slavery makes its way through Congress. Ask the Nurse and eye screenings
Sharon Fata, R.N. with Nashoba Associated Boards of Health and Nashoba Nursing Service and Hospice will be at the Groton Senior Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9, to check blood pressure and answer questions. May will also include free eye screenings by D’Ambrosio Eye Care for vision problems, glaucoma, cataracts and any eye-related questions. No sign-up is required.
