To the almost 90 attendees who took time out of their day yesterday, thank you!
Cub Scout Pack 32, Girl Scout Troop 65233, National Honor Society students and a group from St. Andrew’s Church helped out, as did all four selectman candidates. Current selectmen Fay and Maxant were also present.
My appreciation also to intrepid volunteers Melissa Macdonald, Dan Demille, Shawna Graham, Martha Dean, Kim Krieser, Ruth Maxant and service-dog-in-training Jackson. A special shout out to Ayer transfer station foreman Andrew Jackson for hauling all the bags to the transfer station.
All told, we picked up at least 40 large bags of trash and recycling, helping make our town a cleaner Ayer.
