Chris Ashley approaches problems with confidence built on a foundation of achievements but checks his ego at the door when working in groups and committees. He makes suggestions and argues his points but leaves it to others to accept or reject his points. It is a credit to his common sense that more often than not his ideas are incorporated in the outcome. He gives people space to come around to his points of view. It is this quiet, gentle, leadership coupled with his willingness to roll up his sleeves and work his tail off that has allowed Chris to be so effective.
