A lunch by Nashoba Tech with Fraud Prevention Talk will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, starting at noon at the Groton Senior Center.
The monthly lunch at the Senior Center is catered by the culinary students at Nashoba Tech and is the best deal in town. This month the choices are between grilled, glazed salmon or chicken cordon blue. Both will be served with cream of tomato bisque, sautéed potatoes, vegetable and dessert. Following lunch Groton Police Officer Kevin Henehan, the TRIAD officer, will be on hand with the latest scams and tips to protect yourself. Cost for lunch is $10 with an optional $2 tip. The Curmudgeon and Friends Day Trip to the Rhode Island Spring, Flower & Garden Show will take place Friday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Departing from the Groton Senior Center.
Take a break from the winter and experience beautiful gardens. The theme for this year. Come view the 25 gardens and vignettes, 250 vendors and the afternoon’s speakers. Cost is $36 for admission and transportation. Lunch will be at the flower show on your own. Payment is required with sign-up. Checks payable to Jay Darrin.
