GROTON — A guided trail hike will begin at 1 p.m. sharp on Sunday, Jan. 20. Join members of the Groton Trails Committee on a winter guided hike through the Johnston and Hayes Conservation areas.
Before starting the hike, we will explore the old Fitch’s Bridge and the new connector trail to it. Then, we will hike together through these beautiful, wooded conservation areas.
Our hike will take about two hours. Dress warmly if the weather is cold and wear appropriate boots if there is snow on the ground. If the snowpack is deep, snow shoes and ski poles can make trekking easier.
Dogs must be well behaved, and if small children present, leashed.
Take Pepperell Road to Wallace Road, parking on the side of Wallace Road, a short distance south. Walk back to Pepperell Road and meet at Fitch’s Bridge to start the hike.
The hike will be held unless it is very stormy.
