Christmas Bird Count: 8 a.m. Starting point: The Oxbow Rational Wildlife Refuge’s main parking lot at the end of Still River Depot Road in Harvard. Join us for a day of birding as part of the 113th National Audubon Bird Count. The CBC is citizen science at its best throughout North, Central and South America. Every year, groups of observers search a given area trying to find as many species and numbers of birds as possible. Dress for cold, adverse weather and bring binoculars, lunch and a drink. NVC Messiah sing benefit: The Nashoba Valley Chorale hosts a Messiah Sing, where the audience (plus chorale members) are the chorus, at 3 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Littleton, 330 King St., Littleton. Get in the festive spirit by joining in to sing Handel’s traditional piece under the direction of Anne Watson Born. Bring your own score or borrow one from the chorale. Admission is $5.
