The Peabody Essex Museum is hosting a whimsical exhibit of hat, featuring wildly plumed bonnets, silk turbans, sequined caps, Sarah Jessica Parker’s lime-green fascinator, a Darth Vader helmet and 250 other elegant and outlandish styles.
We will have time for lunch on our own, available in the PEM’s Atrium Café, which offers delicious lunch and snacks in a great central location. You may also venture out of the museum to a local café.
The Museum Shop is worth a visit to view and/or purchase from an array of distinctive fashion accessories, hats, art, jewelry, books, toys and more.
Group departs Thursday, Jan. 10, at 9:30 a.m. from the Buckingham Bus Depot. An escorted tour of the exhibit will be given from 11:15 a.m. to 12:12 p.m. and return will be at approximately 4 p.m. The cost is $35 and includes transportation, exhibit and driver’s gratuity.
