I want to thank the voters of Shirley and Ayer for the trust they’ve shown in us. The voters have given us a solemn charge, and we will do our best to carry it out. We understand that the people have spoken for education, and for the children, and we won’t let them down.
I also want to thank the members of the Building and School Committees, who dedicated their time and effort to bring forward a clean and comprehensive plan, a project strongly supported by the state, that should be completed in a timely and efficient manner.
And I want to express my gratitude to the citizens who were involved in Building the Future of Shirley and Ayer. Without their tireless energy, enthusiasm, and dedication this project might not have succeeded.
That yes vote can represent a real turning point for the towns. It wasn’t just about the building, it was about moving forward as a community, and saying yes to the future.
