Many thanks to a lot of community help this Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is a time to spend with family and friends, but there are some who have no family to spend it with, so the COA, with “a little help from our friends,” worked with some community groups to help support our seniors this holiday. The Hildreth House was busy this Thanksgiving preparing turkey dinners with all the trimmings for delivery to those who are alone this holiday. The Harvard Council on Aging would like to offer a big thank you to the community members who helped with this project. We thank the Harvard Firefighter’s Association for their generous donation of a turkey to the Hildreth House. We also want to thank the Farm to Friend volunteers for donating the prepared side dishes and Girl Scout Troop #30749 for making the desserts and packing and delivering the meals to our homebound seniors on Thanksgiving. What a great way to begin the 2012 holiday season here in Harvard!
