Town Center Overlay District Design Review Committee: 5-7 p.m., to review Groton Electric Light Department facilities plan, Town Hall.
Planning Board: 7:30 p.m., public hearing, Town Hall (second floor meeting room), to consider the application submitted by the Groton Electric Light Department for Site Plan Review to construct a new office and operational facility. The proposed facility will be located on Station Avenue on property now owned by the town of Groton Electric Light Department, on the easterly side of Station Avenue.

Park Commission dedication: 10 a.m., Stonebridge Field for dedication of field and name change to Woitowicz Memorial Field.
Baked Haddock supper: Back by many requests, the Christian Union Church will be hosting a Baked Haddock Public Supper from 5-7 p.m. Menu: fish, vegetable, cole slaw, dessert and beverage. Due to the increase in fish prices, we are forced to increase this meal to $12 ; however, if you are a veteran (only veterans) and present your military ID card you will be admitted for $10. The church is located on Route 225 (West Main Street in West Groton) diagonally across from the fire station. Children under 12, $5 and under 6, free. For more information, please call 978 448-5480. SUNDAY, NOV. 11
Guided trail hike: 1 p.m. sharp. Join members of the Groton Trails Committee on a guided walk on the Gamlin Esker Trail. We will hike together through the woods, up and over a beautiful esker overlooking Cow Pond Brook and flanking a large wetland area where we may see beaver and herons. This hike showcases one of the many wonderful conservation areas owned by the Groton Conservation Trust. Our walk on the Gamlin Esker Trail will take about one and one-half hours and is suitable for families with children. Dogs must be well behaved and leashed. Wear comfortable hiking shoes. The hike will be held unless it is very stormy. We will meet to start our hike at the end of Cow Pond Brook Road, past the transfer station. Park on the side of the road.

Republicans to meet
The Groton Republican Town Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Groton Senior Center, at 7:15 p.m. Please come and rehash the election results and make plans for the future. The meetings are open to the public and visitors are welcome. Please bring a nonperishable food item for Loaves & Fishes with you. Ballroom dances
On Sunday, Nov. 18, the Groton Country Club continues its monthly ballroom dances. The “Entertainers” will supply the music, and admission is $10 at the door. The event features a hardwood dance floor, a cash bar, and a door prize.

Household hazardous waste collection
Harvard residents may bring hazardous materials for disposal to the Devens Regional Household Hazardous Products Collection Center at 9 Cook St. (rear) on the first Wednesday and following Saturday of each month (Nov. 7 and 10), from 9 a.m. to noon, except for holidays and weather-permitting.
The cost for residents is $20 for up to five gallons or five pounds of material.
Businesses must pre-register.
