Thanksgiving meat raffle
The Ayer Gun & Sportsmen’s Club will hold a Thanksgiving meat raffle on Friday, Nov. 9, from 7-10 p.m. at 255 Snake Hill Road, Ayer.
Come join in the fun and try to win hams, turkeys, pork loins, prime ribs, prizes and gift certificates from our local sponsors. There will also be a special raffle for a flat-screen TV.

IMPORTANT UPCOMING EVENTS
The General Election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. at Town Hall. Per the Secretary of State’s Office, no meetings may be held at Town Hall. Sample ballots will be on the Town Clerk’s webpage when they are available.
The Special Election will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at Town Hall. The last day to register to vote in this election is Saturday, Oct. 27. The Town Clerk’s office will be open between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. for registration.
Household hazardous waste collection
Harvard residents may bring hazardous materials for disposal to the Devens Regional Household Hazardous Products Collection Center at 9 Cook St. (rear) on the first Wednesday and following Saturday of each month (Nov. 7 and 10), from 9 a.m. to noon, except for holidays and weather-permitting.
The cost for residents is $20 for up to five gallons or five pounds of material.
Businesses must pre-register.
