The League of Women of Voters (LWV) will host a 3rd US Congressional District Candidates’ Forum on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at the Concord-Carlisle High School auditorium, 500 Walden Street, Concord, MA.

The newly redistricted 3rd Congressional District includes many of the cities and towns previously in the 5th Congressional District, currently represented by Congresswoman Niki Tsongas (D-Lowell). The League has invited U.S. Rep. Tsongas and Jon Golnik, winner of the Republican Primary.

The Acton Area, Concord-Carlisle and Westford LWVs are co-sponsoring the forum with the support of the LWVs of Andover/North Andover, Chelmsford, Greater Haverhill, Harvard, Sudbury and Worcester Area.

The LWV is asking voters to propose questions for the forum before Sept. 21 by emailing their question, street address, and city or town to questions@lwvcc.org.

The general election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Eligible residents must be registered to vote by Oct. 17.
