Have you heard of TEO? TEO stands for Townsend Ecumenical Outreach, a nonprofit, all volunteer organization. It grew out of the need to reach out to members of the Townsend community through its affiliated churches. Through TEO there is a network that offers residents help and aid in an emergency.

One of the ways the Townsend community responds to TEO fund raising efforts is through the annual Penny Drive. The familiar cannisters will be at most local businesses. If you have pennies, nickels, dimes or quarters collected at home, please consider donating them to TEO. Your small change or dollars will make a big difference to someone in need.

You may also donate nonperishable canned food, cereals and paper products, as well as good “gently used” clothing directly to TEO at 82 Bayberry Hill Road, West Townsend MA 01474. For more information about TEO and hours for the monthly food bank and the Clothes Closet call 978-597-2549.
