Here is a photo of four local boys who play for Leominster Legion Baseball this year. They are:

Left to right: Brandon Cole (Pepperell), Kevin Marciano ( Pepperell), Matt Russell (Townsend) and Justin Roberts (Pepperell )

They are a big part of the 2012 Leominster Legion team that sports an impressive 10-4 record. These four ballplayers have helped to win a lot of baseball games over the years.

If we turn the clock back just a bit, Brandon Cole’s Little League Braves team was 19-1 and won the 2007 Pepperell/Townsend Little League championship in the spring of 2007.

Later that summer, Brandon’s Pepperell All-Star team won the Massachusetts DIstrict 3 Little League Championship, too.

Kevin Marciano’s Little League Yankees won two championships (2004, 2005) Matt Russell, along with Brandon Cole, twice won both the 14-year-old and 15-year-old Western Mass Babe Ruth Championship.

Justin Roberts won back to back championships in the Leominster Babe Ruth Program. One year Justin’s team ran the table with a 25-0 record and the next year Justin was the winning pitcher in the final championship game.

Nice job fellas. Next spring, Brandon will be the ace of the North Middlesex pitching staff while Kevin, Matt and Justin will be off playing college baseball and studying, too!
