AYER – An Ayer man faces his fourth drunk driving charge, after allegedly operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol count almost three times the legal limit.

It happened on Wednesday, May 30 at about 10 p.m., when a witness reported to police that they were driving behind a vehicle on Sandy Pond Road which was being operated in an erratic manner. Ayer Police Sergeant Austin Cote caught up to vehicle which was still running with the operator behind the wheel while parked in the driveway of the man’s Wachusett (East) Avenue residence.

Cote noticed that the vehicle appeared to have been in an accident with “fresh damage” to the passenger side of the vehicle and a “shredded” front tire, according to Ayer Police Lt. Brian Gill. “It was later determined through a witness that the vehicle struck a stone wall in Littleton near the high school.”

Mubiru Musoke, 65, of 5 Wachusett (East) Avenue, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle after license suspension for drunk driving.
