We would like to send along heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the students of Nashoba Valley Technical High School in Westford.

On Thursday, April 12, the students and faculty graciously organized, prepared and served a fabulous spaghetti dinner to those who attended a benefit concert in support of the members of the GDRHS Chamber Chorus.

The idea for the dinner originated in the student body in support of their “Year of Giving,” this year’s theme for school service. The students learned that the Groton-Dunstable High School Chamber Chorus, under the direction of Mr. Tim Savoy, had been chosen to perform at the 2012 Olympics in London and was in the process of fundraising to enable all 30 students to attend the trip. The students of NVRTHS offered to provide this amazing opportunity for a fundraising event!

The entire Nashoba Valley Technical Regional High School was involved in the process; from printing posters, formulating a publicity plan, getting funding for food, preparing and serving the food, to welcoming guests and the Chamber Chorus into their school.

From the minute we arrived, we were welcomed by student and faculty alike. The Chamber Chorus performed for the audience and received a standing ovation. We felt overwhelmed by the support from the students, the entire school and the surrounding community. Our sincerest thanks to you all.
