PEPPERELL — Using a service incentive grant from the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, the Pepperell Senior is offering a six week Alzheimer’s education class.

According to Outreach Director Beth Selinger, it will be half education, half outreach and cover the basics of dealing with, detecting and caring for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Because of the area’s aging population, Council on Aging Director Marcia Zaniboni said she wants the senior center to be ready as a major resource for family members and caretakers who will encounter the disease.

In order to tailor the curriculum, interested parties will need to be pre-interviewed for the class.

The class begin on April 19 and will run Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for six weeks at the Pepperell Senior Center located at 37 Nashua Road.

For more information or to set up an interview call 978-433-0326.
