The date of the March SPED PAC meeting has been changedto Wednesday, March 21 at 7:15 p.m., at Nashoba Regional High School, 12 Green Road, Bolton, in room 216, the “ASC.”

Carol Ann Edscorn, adjunct instructor at Granite State College will explain”How To Succeed with Asperger’s Syndrome: Strategies, Personal Experiences and Resources.”

Edscorn will offer profound, articulate, and very humorous insights of what it is like to have Asperger’s Syndrome. She makes sense of the sensory sensitivities and social relatedness that makes parenting and working with people with on the autism spectrum so intriguing and challenging. Family adaptations along with general accommodations and interventions will be discussed. She brings her perspective of living with Asperger’s herself as well as parenting two young adults on the spectrum. Ainterested in the topic is welcome to attend. JOIN US! Refreshments will be served.

The district-wide SPED PAC offers presentations on a variety of subjects and provides a forum for interaction with other parents, professionals and community members who have experience with children with special needs. The remaining meeting for this year, “Special Education Basic Rights” will be held on Tuesday, April 24.
