PEPPERELL — The Pepperell Senior Center’s Spa Day will feature demonstrations, talks and products to pamper local seniors.

Wellness treatment and cosmetic services will be available on Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. Council on Aging Director Marcia Zaniboni said that the center used to hold events similar to this, but hasn’t in a long time.

“We want our seniors to treat themselves, to look great and feel great for the end of winter,” she said.

No sign up is necessary and the event is free. Services will include hand paraffin treatments, Reiki treatments, a palm-healing therapy; and cranial sacral therapy from Groton Wellness. Modern Images will be giving hair consultations and Awesome Hair Designs will be doing nails. Groton Therapeutic Massage will be giving massages.

Linda Sango, who teaches Qi Gong at the Center on Tuesday will be giving a presentation on the art of Qi Gong and its benefits at 1 p.m. Throughout the day, Sango will be giving Tuina therapy, an ancient Chinese form of massage that is used to treat acute and chronic pain.

An instructor from Master An’s Martial Arts will be presenting ‘Gray Ninjas,’ a participation demonstration on self-defense for seniors at 1:45 p.m.

At 2:30 p.m., Dr. Joshua Lloyd from Groton Wellness will be talking about Cranial sacral therapy, a form of alternative medicine that uses rhythmic therapy to treat mental stress, back pain and other chronic ailments.
