Blood drive: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Pepperell Community Center. The Kelley family is hosting the drive on behalf of Children’s Hospital Boston. “Our son was a cancer patient at Children’s and The Jimmy Fund. He is now in his third year of remission and is in fourth grade at Varnum Brook.”

Italian Night: 4:30 – 6 p.m., Pepperell United Methodist Church is hosting a ITALIAN NIGHT SUPPER with a variety of your favorite Italian dishes including lasagna, eggplant parm, pasta, meatballs in sauce and chicken cacciatore to list a few of the dishes. We will also be serving freshly baked desserts and beverages. Eat in or take out. The cost is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and $4 for children. The door prize, that you are automatically entered to win with purchase of your supper ticket, will be drawn once the first 70 tickets are sold. (Parking is at a premium, so please car pool if at all possible.) WEATHER PERMITTING. You may call the day of the supper after noon — 978-433-6892. If there is no answer, there will be no supper. The Board of Selectmen wishes to notify all Pepperell citizens of the call for nominations for the 2011 Annual Town Report dedication.

Please make your nomination to the Pepperell Board of Selectmen, One Main Street, Town Hall, Pepperell, MA 01463, in writing by Feb. 10, at noon. Nominations must include the complete text for the printed recognition as well as a photograph.

Traditionally, the Annual Town Report is dedicated to a worthy Pepperell citizen or organization.

Parking Ban now in effect

The Pepperell Winter Parking Ban goes into effect each year from Nov. 1 through April 1, which prohibits the parking of motor vehicles on any public way between the hours of 1 and 6 a.m. for more than one hour.

The purpose of the parking ban is to assist the town of Pepperell’s Department of Public Works with snow-and-ice removal operations.

The Pepperell Police Department is in charge of enforcing the winter parking ban.
