PEPPERELL — 50 Back Brewing Co. has been selected to participate in Project REV, a small-business marketing- improvement program from Deluxe.

Over the next year, the brewery will participate in a makeover in which they will have access to $15,000 worth of tools, funding and guidance to build more effective marketing programs.

50 Back donates 50 percent of its proceeds to charities that support troops and veterans.

Co-founders Kimberly Ropers and Paige Haley created the “Brew of the Brave” in 2009. According to Rogers, the company will be using the resource to expand distribution and develop a strategy to reach specific markets in Massachusetts.

“Once we are successful here, we can reach out to potential investors who will help us make 50 Back available nationwide,” she said.

They are one of 10 business chosen from a pool of 1,200. Other businesses include Marlboro-based Gardens Are Inc. and others from Denver; St. Louis; New Orleans; Los Angeles; Buffalo; McHenry, Ill.; Forest Lake, Minn.; and Prince George’s County, Maryland.
