An Important Update Toward Renovation of Town Hall and Hildreth House
Over the summer the Municipal Building Committee (MBC) worked hard to form a team of professionals including a Project Manager and an Architect. In October we hired Design Technique, Inc. (DTI) as our project manager. In November, we hired Lerner Ladds Bartels (LLB) as our architect.
On December 14, 2011, the MBC and LLB presented optional schemes for the senior center at Hildreth House and for Town Hall. Since then, the MBC has selected a preferred plan for each building. On January 10, the Board of Selectmen concurred with the MBC.
Our primary objective is to prepare a schematic design for both Town Hall and Hildreth House, in accordance with Article 17 of the April 2011 Annual Town Meeting (ATM). This plan, including cost estimates for completion of design and construction, will be presented to the next ATM at the end of April 2012.
On Thursday, January 26 at 7 p.m. in Volunteers Hall, the MBC, along with LLB Architects, we will be presenting the latest refinements of the preferred plans for Hildreth House and Town Hall.
